Where are you based? The Ellese Bakes Shop is based at the bottom of Branford Road in Caister on Sea in Great Yarmouth, postcode NR30 5NE.
What hours are you open? The shop is open Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10-5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. These opening hours are seasonal and subject to change. We have lots of tasty items which can be pre-ordered for collection from the shop here.
Why can't I choose my desired collection date at the checkout stage? Our collection calendar at the checkout stage is updated in real time, so if a date is not available on the calendar, then it means we are fully booked on that day. Our cakes last up to 5 days in the fridge (uncut), so if your desired date isn’t available, then picking up your cake in the days leading up to your event is totally fine and won’t impact the quality of your cake.
Can you make a bespoke cake? Yes, we can, you can either complete the Bespoke enquiry form on this page, or alternatively create your own cake on this page.
Cash or Card? Website orders can be paid via Credit / Debit Card / Paypal or Apple Pay. If visiting my shop in Caister we accept cash and card payments, however card payments are preferred.
Do you make Celebration Cakes? Yes, we can make cakes for any occasion - Weddings, birthdays, baby showers, anniversary’s and much more. When can I collect my order? Collections are normally between 11am and 4pm. Your cake will be ready on the day that you have chosen when booking - if you would like to collect the day before please select this day at the checkout stage. We do collections outside of opening hours, these will incur a charge.
Do you offer Gift Vouchers? Yes, they can be purchased here.
How much is everything? Celebration Cakes vary depending on the work involved. The tasty treats at the shop vary between £1 - £6 per item.
Can I eat in at the shop? We do not offer indoor seating, but we are very close to the beach so if the weather is nice you could head there and enjoy your cakes.
Can I park at the Ellese Bakes Shop? Yes, we have plenty of parking outside of the shop.
Do we have Gluten Free & Vegan options? Yes, we offer GF & Vegan options over the counter at the Ellese Bakes shop. Please note all products are made in the same kitchen so whilst precautions are taken to prevent cross contamination it can’t be guaranteed, and this is also the same for nut free products.
Can I collect from somewhere else? Unfortunately not, collection is only available from the Ellese Bakes shop in Caister on sea.
